Each of the 20 artists in this campaign has donated the use of an image that they have created, to be produced as prints that are unique gifts for their donors.
The local visual arts space aims to raise $50,000 by the end of 2020, to continue the work they do for and with the community, championing film and photography in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The donations will go towards sustaining their operations and programmes, and the many photographers, filmmakers, artists and arts freelancers whom Objectifs works with.
The devastating impact of Covid-19 on many sectors, including the arts, means that artists' income has dived significantly. Besides this fundraiser, Objectifs has also organised other initiatives such as:
• Raising almost $60,000 for the migrant worker community through an online print sale
• Championing Southeast Asian short film through the Objectifs Film Library and Short Film Incubator
Developing networks of learning and dialogue through the Women's Artist Residency and Curatorial (Case) Studies
