ShoutOUT! Eric Khoo brings 'Ramen Teh' to market and it's not a new restaurant

Zhao Wei Films, Wild Orange Artists and Clover Films have just announced Eric Khoo’s (邱金海) latest movie RAMEN TEH. Directed by Eric Khoo, the movie features a dynamic cast of Japanese heartthrob – Takumi Saitoh 斎藤工, the legendary international superstar Seiko Matsuda 松田圣子, Singapore’s multifaceted top-comedian Mark Lee李国煌and popular actress Jeanette Aw欧萱. Also joining the ensemble is the versatile Tsuyoshi Ihara 伊原刚志, talented Tetsuya Bessho 别所哲也and local theatre-veteran Beatrice Chien郑雅珠.

RAMEN TEH tells the story of Masato, a young ramen chef from Takasaki in Japan who embarks on the journey to Singapore, attempting to piece together his past by tracing memories of his Singaporean mother who passed when he was just 10-years old.

Filming has commenced in Singapore; apart from the moving story, audiences are expected to be in for a visual treat – whereby elements of both local and Japanese’ glorious and unique food (culture) will be authentically presented. Renowned Chef Keisuke Takeda and Singapore food blogger-connoisseur Dr Leslie Tay of ieatishootipost were also invited to share their knowledge to nail the culinary scenes.

Produced by Zhao Wei Films, Wild Orange Artists and distributed by Clover Films in Singapore, RAMEN TEH is slated for release in second quarter of 2018.
